Summer Reading Program


Join us this summer to read or listen to books, earn prizes, and attend programs at the library.  All children are invited to participate.  See information about our teen (6th - 12th grade) program here.

Friday, June 13 is the first day to pick up reading logs from the library and register for the Summer Reading Program.  Sparkles the Clown will be at the library from 10:30 to 12:30 creating balloon animals.  We'll hand out helium balloons the rest of the day.






Tuesday, June 24 - "Reading is Magic" by Dynamic West Assemblies
This program for children of all ages will be held at 10:30 A.M. in the Senior and Community Activity Center.

Tuesday, July 8 - Spectacular Science:  Liquid Nitrogen by Larry Biederman
This program for children of all ages will be held at 10:30 A.M. in the Senior and Community Activity Center. Liquid nitrogen is an extremely cold substance that causes exciting interactions including shattering, spinning, and erupting.  We'll explore what happens to many different objects when immersed in liquid nitrogen.  
 
Tuesday,  August 12 - "Joel's ScienceRific Comedy Show" by Joel Tacey
This program for children of all ages will be held at 10:30 A.M. in the Senior and Community Activity Center. Discover a secret lab and help Joel find his missing sidekick, Maze the Mouse, as Joel brings to life eight exciting books in this program of comedy, magic, and music.



Programs throughout the summer are held during the day, in the evenings, and on a Saturday. 
Toddler Storytime (2 - 3 years)
Preschool Storytime (3 - 5 years)
Stories in the Park (ages 4-7)
Science Adventurers (Kindergarten - 2nd grade)
Science Explorers (3rd - 5th grade)
Game Days (Kindergarten - 5th grade)
