Fall Programs

Fall programs resume this month.

Tiny Tales
Tiny Tales for children 2 years and younger will be held every other Monday and Thursday morning at 10:30 beginning on September 17 and 20.  Choose either Mondays or Thursdays to best fit your schedule.  Tiny Tales includes books, finger plays, flannel board stories, songs, and play time.  See details and register here.



Storytime
Storytime for children 3 to 5 years old will be held weekly on Friday mornings at 10:30 beginning on September 21.  Storytime includes books, finger plays, flannel board stories, songs, and crafts  See details and register here.



Book Buddies
Children in kindergarten through 2nd grade will listen to a story and then participate in related activities and crafts.  Book Buddies is held monthly on Thursdays at 4:45 and 6:45.  Choose the time that works best for you.  See details and register here.  


Bookworms
Children in 2nd and 3rd grade will read a book in advance of Bookworms and then discuss the book and participate in related activities and crafts during book club.  Bookworms is held monthly on Tuesdays.  See details and register here


Chapter Chatters

Children in 3rd through 5th grade will read a book in advance of Chapter Chatters and then discuss the book and participate in related activities and crafts during book club.  Chapter Chatters is held monthly on Tuesdays. Updated:  Chapter Chatters will now be held monthly on Mondays.  See details and register here

Puppet Show

Puppet Show

The Center


Children are invited to a puppet show on Monday, August 13 in The Center (Senior and Community Activity Center).

They will watch the following performances and then create their own paper bag puppets.
  • The Strangest Showman: Our TNT (Teen and Tween) group made puppets and created this story for them.  Come see how a ringmaster, a bride, a pirate cat, a mermaid, and more create a strange and entertaining circus!
  • Magic Puppets: 3rd through 5th graders created magician puppets and will perform a few magic tricks with them.
  • Fairy Tales: Exact stories are still being finalized. Puppets will be used to tell traditional and revised fairy tales.
  • Songs: Puppets will lead the children in familiar children's songs.

Create-a-palooza & Read Away Your Fines

Create-a-palooza & Read Away Your Fines

Drop by the library any time between 12:00 and 6:00 on Tuesday for Create-a-palooza.  We'll have craft projects for children of all ages - paper bag puppets, story stones, musical instruments, and more.







Youth (under 18 or 12th grade and younger) can Read Away Their Fines.  See details here
