Saturday Stories, Storytime, & Tiny Tales


Our current schedule:
Saturday Stories - monthly at Aid in Milan
Storytime - Friday mornings - at Aid in Milan or on Zoom, see details below 
Tiny Tales - paused for now

Activities are planned for the ages listed for each program.  If your child is slightly older or younger and would enjoy the event, they are welcome to attend.  Older and younger siblings are welcome, too.

Registration is required for virtual events (so we can send you the Zoom link) and highly recommended and appreciated for all events (so we can plan for the appropriate number of children). 


Saturday Stories:

planned for preschoolers through early elementary ages
Older and younger children are welcome.
Masks are required for everyone 2 and older.

January 15 
Officer Wawsczyk from Milan Police Department will be our special guest this month. He'll read a book, talk about what police officers do, and show us his patrol car.  We'll also have a police-themed craft. 

February 12
We'll read books about Valentine's Day and create a Valentine's Day craft.

March 12
Our theme is Kindness. Ms. Star from Aid in Milan will read a book about kindness' then she and Ms. Jennifer from Aid in Milan will take us on our tour of their building to show us what they do for our community. We'll wrap up with a craft project children can share with someone as an act of kindness. 

April 
The second Saturday will overlap with Parks and Rec's Easter Egg hunt, so we're shifting to a take home project.  Please register through the link above and we'll let you know when you can pick up your take home kit.  Your kit will contain the book Count on Pablo and a related craft project.  The book is yours to keep, compliments of Michigan Credit Unions.

Tiny Tales is on hiatus for now.  If you are interested in attending, you can register here to be notified when we resume.

If you would like help choosing books to read together at home, please let us know.  You can fill out a Book Bundle request here or email youth@milanlibrary.org, and we'll be happy to help choose books for you.
